Email and phone formats are validated. This does not verify ownership of an address or number. Use your own details, and avoid including passwords, payment information or sensitive personal information in messages. Contact enquiries do not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter.
PDF downloads and newsletter signup
You can browse resources and view published presentations without subscribing. To download PDF notes, the form asks for your name and email, with an optional phone number. The checked newsletter notice explains that subscription is included and that you can unsubscribe later.
When a PDF is available and the submission is saved successfully, the download starts directly. There is no confirmation code, verification email or download-access cookie. Submitting this form also starts or renews your newsletter subscription for that email address.
Notes files are served through the download form rather than a public file link. You can unsubscribe later using a newsletter link or by contacting me. Unsubscribing does not remove files already downloaded to your device.
Optional site usage tracking
Site usage tracking starts only after you choose Allow optional tracking. Choose No thanks to decline, or use Cookies & privacy at the bottom of the website to change your choice. Declining does not prevent browsing, sending an enquiry or downloading notes. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals also prevent this tracking.
With your permission, the site records random browser and session IDs, event times, pages opened, recognised link destinations and form-submission attempts, scroll milestones, and intervals when a page is visible. It also records browser and device categories, the referring website domain and approximate country when trusted hosting information is available.
These records help show which pages are useful and how visitors move through the site. Random IDs estimate browsers, not verified people. Form values, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, screen recordings, precise location, click coordinates, raw IP addresses and URL query strings are not stored in this website usage data collection. Browsing IDs are not automatically matched to subscriber or enquiry records. Admin visits and recognised bots are excluded.
Changing your preference stops future optional tracking; it does not automatically erase earlier records. Newsletter link tracking is separate and is explained below.
Newsletters and link tracking
Newsletter signup is used for updates, resources and related news. Phone numbers are optional contact details; the download form does not enrol you in SMS or WhatsApp marketing.
Newsletter links may pass through this website before opening their destination. When that tracking route is used and storage is available, it records the campaign, subscriber email, destination URL, click time, browser user-agent and an IP address supplied by the hosting proxy. Unlike optional browsing usage data, these clicks can be linked to your email. Your browser privacy preference does not disable newsletter link tracking.
You can unsubscribe through a newsletter’s unsubscribe link or email hello@sourabhtech.com to request that messages stop. An unsubscribe status may be retained to manage your preference. Unsubscribing is separate from asking for deletion of your records.
Service providers and locations
The site uses its hosting environment and, where configured, MongoDB to store and process records. Some records, including enquiries, are stored in files on the application server. Google BigQuery may hold older usage data when archiving is enabled. These services support website operation rather than publishing your contact details.
Google Fonts supplies fonts used on the site. Presentation and image files may load from a configured asset host. Your browser sends ordinary connection information, including its IP address and browser headers, to providers whose content it requests. Hosting and asset services may also maintain operational logs independently of the optional usage data collection.
Processing locations depend on the hosting, database and archive regions configured for the service and may be outside your country. Contact me for details about the providers and locations used for your information. External email providers receive recipient details and message content when used to deliver newsletters.
How long information is kept
Enquiries, subscriber records, campaign records and newsletter click records do not currently have an automatic expiry. They remain until removed through administrative handling or a privacy request. Retention is considered according to ongoing correspondence, subscription preferences, unresolved concerns and any applicable record-keeping obligations. A request to stop emails does not itself erase these records.
The audience dashboard displays the last 90 days of usage data. This is a reporting window, not a deletion deadline. If BigQuery archiving is configured, older events are removed from the live store only after successful export. Otherwise, or if export fails, they remain there. The application does not impose an automatic expiry on archived usage data.
Browser storage follows the behaviour described above. Copies in provider logs or backups, where present, follow the provider’s retention settings and may take longer to disappear than active records.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can decline usage data, leave optional phone fields blank, browse presentations without signing up, or unsubscribe from newsletter updates. PDF downloads include newsletter signup as explained in the form.
To ask for access, a correction, deletion, or to raise a concern, email hello@sourabhtech.com. Include the email address you used and describe your request. I may ask for proportionate information to confirm that the records belong to you before sharing or changing them. Do not send identity documents unless specifically requested.
Because browsing IDs are not matched to contact emails, an email address alone may not identify your usage data records. If a request cannot be completed, I will explain the reason. Rights and any applicable exceptions depend on the law relevant to your request.
Keeping information private
Contact and subscriber information is intended for private administration. PDF files are kept outside the public asset directory, and submissions are validated on the server. No online service can guarantee complete security. Please use your own contact details, take care on shared devices and contact me if you suspect information has been exposed or misused.
Students and event photographs
Students can browse resources without providing contact details. Please avoid submitting another person’s personal information without their permission.
Published Journal entries may include event photographs and reflections. If a photograph or entry identifies you and you want it reviewed or removed, send the page link and describe your concern to hello@sourabhtech.com.
Policy updates
This page will be updated when data handling changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Questions about an earlier interaction can be sent to the privacy contact above.
